Three Wishes Wine
Three Wishes, a new wine from Whole Foods Market, is about to make my holiday entertaining a lot easier on the wallet. The brand features three varietals (Chardonnay, Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon) from grapes grown in California and the price can't be beat. Each bottle is only $1.99. You can stock up on a whole case (or two) and still not break the budget.
For the eco-conscious oenophiles the wine is bottled in Eco-Glass™, a lightweight wine bottle. They are made with 25% less glass than standard wine bottles and require much less fuel to transport. This results in less carbon emissions and a reduced environmental impact.
Here are the tasting notes for Three Wishes:
Chardonnay: Fresh apple and pear flavors with a touch of oak. Terrific paired with chicken, pork, ham, grilled vegetables and mushroom risotto.
Merlot: Smooth, with notes of blueberries and vanilla. Pairs with everyday meals like pasta, pizza and hamburgers.
Cabernet Sauvignon: Dry, with flavors of dark berries and cocoa. The moderate tannins make this a great match for aged cheddar and blue cheese.
Available at all Whole Foods Market stores.

Oooh, I'm digging the cocoa notes in the Cab. Bet it would be great with a deep, dark chocolate mousse. ;)
I'm sure it would. Plus, you can't beat the $1.99 price.
