Linnea's Lights - 2012 Spring Candles
I always look forward to new scents from Linnea's Lights. The small family-owned candle company has created six new blends for their spring 2012 collection: Belgian Linen, Violet, Garden Mint, Sea Salt, Wild Honeysuckle, and Rose. I can't rave enough about the quality. Each soy candle is extremely aromatic and has a burning time of over 60 hours. I got to review two of the new scents: Belgian Linen and Garden Mint. Belgian Linen has top floral notes, with a middle ozone note that's anchored with woods and musk. It's a very cozy, clean, and sophisticated scent. It reminded me of an intensely romantic getaway in Europe during one's wild youth, evoking the scent of a lover's shirt. I'm so addicted to this one.
Garden Mint is unexpectedly different. I had imagined a melange of different mint leaves but this one included notes of cucumber and citrus. There's a dominant floral top note as well, making it an unusual scent for this season.
