Laura Mercier Cinema Noir Fall 2012 Collection
Inspired by Hollywood icons from the late 1940s, the Laura Mercier Cinema Noir fall 2012 collection is filled with drama and intrigue. Muted, smoky blues and chocolates create sultry eyes while lips are washed in shades of rose and mauve.
The Mystere Eye Color Duet is an elegant, classic eyeshadow duo. The creamy powder provides a luminous finish in complementary shades of matte taupe and satiny navy blue. This is a daily go-to duo to invest in if you don't have something like it. This duet is also available in Suspense (beige/brown).
I tried the Tea Rose (delicate nude pink) and Raspberry Sorbet (berry) Shimmer Lip Color lipsticks, two of the four re-promoted shades for fall. I loved the lightweight and smooth texture of both, but wished the staying power was higher. The Raspberry Sorbet looks good on nearly all skin tones whereas Tea Rose might be better for darker tones -- it was a tad to pale on me.
