Dolce & Gabbana Ethereal Beauty Holiday 2010 Makeup

For those who shy away from the season's typically bold colors, you'll be happy to know that the Dolce & Gabbana Ethereal Beauty Holiday 2010 Collection features many soft neutral shades. Inspired by their Fall 2010 runway collection, their makeup is nuanced with delicate pinks, nudes, and sheer bronzes. As usual, the gorgeous Scarlett Johansson is the face for the ad campaign.

The Lip Jewels is the star product of the collection. The dramatic ruby jewel-top compact was personally designed by Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana, and it will become a conversation piece each time you use it. The lipstick quad contains four iconic Classic Cream Lipstick shades (Nude, Dahlia, Devil, and Ultra) from the D&G permanent makeup collection. Three of them are classic red shades (a blue red, a warm red, and a Hollywood red) and the fourth one is a pale beige nude. The super pigmented formula offers an ultra lightweight and long-lasting finish.

The rest of the collection is way less flashy. The Eyeshadow quad in Desert 123 is a low-key palette of rich and light browns. This is a compact that you can use year-round for that chic, neutral, barely-there look. If you already have something similar, I'd definitely pick the Lip Jewels over this quad.

The Blush in Rosebud 33 is a pretty peachy pink that adds a delicate and healthy flush. The photo doesn't do it justice, as it looks really gorgeous on the cheeks. It has a nice, warm translucent veil of coloring that will pep up your complexion during the cold wintry months.

The lips are all about nudes and browns, with a dash of pink. I just love the Shimmer 55 Lipgloss, as it imparts a luxurious pale pink shine. This is such a versatile color. You can use it alone for a really pale nude lip, or you can layer it with any of the Lip Jewel shades for a fabulous shimmery finish. For a mega pout, line your lips with the Cashmere 8 Lipliner before adding the Shimmer gloss and you'll get some sexy Angelina Jolie lips.
