Crazy for Trench Coats
March 28, 2011 I'm in dire need of a new jacket so I've been looking around for a cute trench coat. While the classic khaki style is always nice, I found a few designs that put a unique twist to this perennial favorite.
The self-tie bow on the Trench Bow Coat from Tibi ($561) will make you stand out from the crowd. The pleated ruffles and pintuck details are so feminine and structured, making this a natural choice if you want something totally different.
I also love the bright raspberry Double-Breasted Pleated Trench Coat from Via Spiga ($230). The flirty box pleat hem creates a sassy look that's perfect for spring.
The exaggerated ruffle on the Spy Ruffled Trench Coat from Diane von Furstenberg ($565) adds a dramatic flair to the classic silhouette.

The Diane Von Furstenberg one is gorgeous. I like how it's dressy enough to wear over a cocktail dress on a cold night, too. One can never have too many trench coats. They are so versatile, come in so many colors and never go out of style.
Isn't it? It's so elegant. I can just imagine a starlet wearing this on a spy thriller.
