Clarins Vital Light Skin Care

Just in time for cooler weather: Clarins just launched Vital Light, their new skin care for mature skin. As we age we tend to lose the ability to reflect light off our skin. According to Clarins researchers, the skin will lose 34% of its luminosity by the time we're fifty. Yikes!

The Vital Light Day Illuminating Anti-Aging Comfort Cream aims to address this issue, as well as reduce dark spots and banish those annoying wrinkles. The first anti-aging product to address cellular elimination, three exclusive "pioneer" plant ingredients (Cochlearia officinalis, Waltheria, and Spergularia) were chosen to harness the power of youthful skin. These special plants grow in the harshest climates and are strong survivors. They also are really beautiful.

The textures on both day and night creams looked and felt a bit rich, but when I smoothed it into the skin it absorbed fairly quickly. The light fragrance (notes of freesia, peony and jasmine) is also calming. The Vital Light Night cream also contains Palmitoyl Glycine, an amino acid that stimulates micro-circulation as you sleep. You'll wake up with a rosier complexion.

Sonja - If you're too lazy you can always opt for lasers and fillers ;)
Much faster than slapping on the creams...

Jennine - do you have oily skin? If so, then this might be a bit too rich for you....

Scary stuff! As someone who has passed the big 50 I can definitely see that my skin does not look anywhere near as good as it used to.

Those dark spots are a real trial, skin seems to lose that even tone as one gets older. Oh well, slap a bit more cream on, I guess!
