Clarins Neo Pastel Spring 2011 Makeup

As you can tell from the name, the spring 2011 Neo Pastel makeup collection from Clarins is filled with soft, radiant hues. Inspired by watercolor paintings, the spectrum ranges from romantic violet eyes to shiny nude lips.

The Neo Pastels Eye Colour & Liner Palette contains six delicate shades of brown, pink and violet. The colors go on really light if you apply them with a dry brush. I needed three to four layers to get my desired look. To amp it up definitely use a damp brush. I also recommend a primer because the colors might fade throughout the day.

The new Blush Prodige is one of my favorites from the Clarins line. The formula contains mineral pigments, tomato extract and bamboo powder to create that perfect luminous glow. I tried the Miami Pink palette and loved the natural pink tones. You get one matte shade to sculpt the cheeks and an iridescent one to highlight facial contours. This blush also comes in five other color combos that range from pale rose to dark mocha.

The limited edition Rouge Hydra Nude SPF 6 cream lipsticks contain 25% skincare ingredients to deliver high levels of moisture and protection for the lips. If you're hankering for nude lips this line might appeal to you. My lips are naturally pigmented so I could barely see the color coverage of the Nude Coral shade. The Nude Caramel worked out nicely though.

Looking for a wrinkle eraser? The new Instant Smooth Line Correcting Concentrate literally smoothes away lines and softens wrinkles with a light flick of the applicator pen. It contains Dermaxyl®, a correcting peptide that repairs age-related damage. Acacia Micro-Pearls also help reduce pores and imperfections.

I love the trend in nude lips. I've never been a gal who went for red lipstick. Too bold. But nudes are great -- if you can find the perfect shade, which isn't always easy.

I agree, it's great if you find the right shade. :)

I love Clarins' eye palettes, especially when they include a cream liner. The nude lipsticks look great. Nude lips are my fave!
