Amelie Amblard Exhibit & Enkiteng Lepa Fundraiser at April in Paris
This Saturday, SF leather artisan April in Paris will have their very first fundraiser for a special cause. To support the expansion of the Enkiteng Lepa School in Kenya, Amelie Amblard will present a photography exhibit of her recent African trip.
Enkiteng Lepa became a personal cause after Amblard visited Kenya this summer. She became acquainted with founder and director Helen Nkuraiya, who is trying to prevent Maasai girls from being sexually mutilated or forced into early marriages. Nkuraiya's school gives these girls an opportunity to receive an education and escape cultural oppression. Right now many girls are turned away due to lack of space and resources.
If you would like to help, 100% of photography sales and donations will go directly to the school. April in Paris will also gift a Bea silk scarf for every photograph sold or donation over $100.
Can't make the event? Call the boutique at 415-750-9910 or email bea@aprilinparis.us to arrange a tax-deductible donation. Every dollar counts. You can also mail April in Paris a donation check made out to Jamii Moja.
