YSL Spring Look 2011 Makeup
The beauty theme for YSL this season is pink, pink and more pink. Laced with an innocent purity, their Spring Look 2011 makeup collection is filled with rose and coral hues that's made for a serene porcelain visage.
For naturally sculpted cheeks, the new Crème de Blush has a light, silky cream-to-powder formula that's really easy to work with. Just dab some on the apples of your cheeks and you're ready to shine. It's really, really blendable and the look is very natural. I love the No. 1 Velvety Peach, a subtle peach that's great for everyday use. The vibrant No. 6 Rouge Passion is a deceptive orange red that transforms into a bright and rosy flush.
The new shades of the Golden Gloss are also really gorgeous. I got to try shades No. 40 Golden Impertinence, a highly lacquered, semi-sheer rose pink, and No. 41 Golden Insolence, a bright, shimmering fuchsia. The luxurious formula is actually infused with real 24 carat gold flecks (0.2%) to give that authentic golden sparkle, and it smells fantastic with a candied mango scent.
There are two new Ombre Solo eyeshadow colors for spring. Both the 15 Gold Leaf and 16 Topaz Blue offer a radiant, sophisticated wash of color for the eyelids. Both shades are complimentary and extremely blendable - I like layering the gold over the entire lid, then adding a thick blue line over the lash line. The finish is on the soft side, so don't expect deep dark shades.
The new Mascara Singulier shade is No. 6 Deep Plum. Made with their unique brush, this formula will volumize, lengthen and curl your lashes. It holds a pretty decent curl and it separates the lashes beautifully. Do take your time to apply it so it doesn't clump. While it might give a false lash effect on most ladies, this might not be as effective for gals with really short and straight lashes.

That mascara looks intriguing! Want it!
Wow, between this and the fashions debuting on the runways in NY, it sure looks like spring is going to be all about bright, vivid, even bold colors. Now, that's definitely a way to wake things up after winter.
Carolyn - Yup, it's all about bright pinks, oranges, and yellows! :)
Wow, tons of pink for spring and a lot brighter than we've seen in years past.
