YSL Holiday 2011 Makeup

Always elegant and glamorous, the YSL holiday 2011 makeup collection reflects the refined sophistication that's emblematic of Yves Saint Laurent Couture House.

Inspired by the iconic "Le Smoking" tuxedo suit, the limited edition Palette Noir Terriblement eyeshadow compact features five different textures within each shade: Shiny Silk, Matte Velvet, Sparkling Moiré, Glittering Lamé and Creamy Satin. If you're a huge smoky eye gal, then this is the ultimate palette for you.

The newest lipstick to be added to the roster, the Rouge Pur Couture Golden Lustre is a collection of sheer colors with a touch of golden shimmer. The 109 Corail D'Or is a gorgeous coral pink for a dainty and feminine choice, while 103 Bronze Persepolis is perfect for the goth girl.

There are three new shades of Golden Gloss for the collection: 46 White Gold Quartz, 47 White Gold Topaz, and 48 White Gold Amethyst. 24 carat gold flecks (0.2%) create an unparalleled sparkling glamour. I just can't resist the yummy mango scent, and the iridescent 46 White Gold Quartz is perfect for layering over any lipstick.

My new favorite pot eyeliner is the Eyeliner Effet Faux Cils from the Le Noir Couleur Collection. It's just fantastic. Smudgeproof and waterproof, the smooth and creamy formula stays on strong for up to 24 hours. I particularly love the 6 Jade Black shade. The intense green metallic color gives a bold twist to the typical black shade.
