Sisley Skin Care

Skin care addicts: If you shop at Bloomingdale's in San Francisco, all Sisley customers will be treated to an on-site complimentary facial. I had no idea that the luxe Parisian skin care brand would go all out to pamper their clients but they actually have an intimate spa room tucked away within the cosmetics department.

I got to experience this firsthand and was rather impressed with the relaxing treatment. This is not a product demo where you sit at the counter and let the sales ladies do their pitch. You actually get the full package - the steam machine, a few extractions and a sleep-inducing neck, shoulder and arm massage. Not a bad deal at all, considering that a regular facial runs about $120-$160 at most day spas.

We started off with a facial cleanse by using the Lyslait Cleansing Milk with White Lily. This botanical cleanser can also be used to remove makeup - just rub on and tissue off. The Gentle Facial Buffing Cream is then applied, left on for a couple minutes, then massaged off to reveal softer, exfoliated skin. This formula contains Chamomile and Matricaria to soothe and soften, and it's even suitable for sensitive skin.

One of products that I really enjoyed was the Floral Spray Mist. It just smells so heavenly. This alcohol-free misting spray contains Orange Blossom, Rose, Cornflower and Witch Hazel waters to flood your skin with hydrating botanicals. Unfortunately, the 4.2 ounce can goes for $95. Yikes. I don't think I'll be able to afford that anytime soon. Their buffing cream seems to be a better investment.

The other popular product used in the treatment was the calming Floral Toning Lotion. Infused with Rose extract, this alcohol-free toner is ideal for sensitive or dry skin. You can even use it on your delicate eye area. Lastly, we finished with the Hydra-Global anti-aging cream, which is packed with extracts of Padina Pavonica, Wild Pansy, Chestnut, Malachite, Marjoram, Lavender and Sage.

To book your complimentary facial appointment (with product purchase), call Rezvan at the Bloomingdale's SF counter at 415-856-5456.

For editorial consideration, a spa visit was arranged by the brand's PR representative.
