Redken New Color Extend
June 5, 2009 For color-treated hair, Redken's new Color Extend line offers even stronger color protection. The Interbond Conditioning System, UV filters, and the Fade Resist Complex help block out color agressors. The line consists of a shampoo, conditioner, Rich Recovery weekly anti-fade treatment, Total Recharge detangler, and a Shine Enrich finishing serum.
Angela Berk, Color Director at MNKYTHMP in SF, uses Redken Chemistry to prepare clients' hair for color services and to repair the hair from chemical abuse. One of their favorite custom treatments is to combine Extreme and Color Extend shots (treatments are called "shots").
As for styling trends, they're seeing lots of straightened hair and curls of all kinds. Whatever the style may be, they recommend using a product with heat protection. Their bestseller is the lightweight Satinwear 02 ultimate blow-dry lotion, which can be used on all types of hair.
