Neutrogena Naturals Skin Care
May 1, 2012 In the spirit of going green, Glam sent me a deluxe Eco-Friendly Bliss Bag that was filled with goodies from Neutrogena. I was particularly interested in trying out their Neutrogena Naturals skin care collection as each product is formulated without any sulfates, parabens, petrochemicals, dyes or phthalates.
The non-drying Purifying Facial Cleanser has a delightful green apple scent, but the Purifying Pore Scrub is my favorite. A moisturizing cleanser with exfoliating jojoba beads, it's not as abrasive as traditional scrubs - perfect for sensitive skin. In fact, it's so gentle you can use it daily. If you need a multi-tasking cleanser the Fresh Cleansing + Makeup Remover wipes off everything yet keeps your face nice and soft.
The Multi-Vitamin Nourishing Moisturizer has a richer texture than my other day creams. It left my skin silky smooth for hours. My skin is on the dry side, and this cream works well with its sensitive nature. The Multi-Vitamin Nourishing Night Cream seems a tad richer than the day moisturizer but once you rub it in it's not heavy at all. I would probably use it more often during the winter. For lip balm addicts, their minty Lip Balm is a wonderful antidote to chapped lips.
I also received some eco-friendly treats including a natural loofah scrub from The Luffa Farm, a reusable BPA-free Bobble water bottle (with a built-in filter!), and healthy snacks from Simple Squares. These products are such great reminders on how easy it is to go green.
How do you lead a more natural lifestyle? Every little action counts. I try to do my part by taking public transportation, buying local organic products when possible, and bringing reusable bags to the market. There are many other ways to go green, such as participating in a local recycling program, organizing a clothing swap, reducing plastic use, or using energy-efficient appliances.
