NARS Andy Warhol Holiday 2012 Flowers Palettes

Finally, NARS makeup addicts can access the highly-coveted Andy Warhol Holiday 2012 Pop Collection. Created in honor of the late artist, the whimsical colors and palettes are a passionate homage from NARS Founder Francois Nars. I was particularly intrigued by the Flowers eyeshadow series, which were derived from Andy Warhol's iconic Flowers painting.

Flowers 1 Eyeshadow Palette.

I tried the Flowers 2 Eyeshadow Palette and was surprised at how wearable the colors were. The pearlescent heather blue is certainly bright inside the palette, but the finish is on the sheer side if you use a light hand. I like to dab a couple layers for a day look. To glam it up for nighttime I just smudge on the shimmering lavender grey and black shades. All in all, a gorgeous and sophisticated look for any time of the year.

NYC ladies: NARS Founder Francois Nars will make a special appearance at Sephora Union Square on Thursday, October 4 between 5:30-7p.m. Make your consultation appointments by calling 212-995-8833.

All three Flowers palettes ($55) and the Andy Warhol Holiday 2012 Pop Collection are sold exclusively at Sephora.

For editorial consideration, a review sample was provided by the brand's PR representative.

Those are almost too pretty to mess up by taking a brush to it. LOL I almost want it as a wall-hanging instead.

I know! I'm still surprised how wearable these shades are. Very pretty and sophisticated.
