Leonor Greyl Huile de Palme and Lait Luminescence
Summer's not over yet in SF. We have our Indian summer in the next month, so we still have many sunny days ahead of us (we hope!). With that in mind, I'm so glad I have a few Leonor Greyl products to nourish and condition my distressed hair.
The awesome cult product Huile de Palme is now made with 100% certified organic palm oil from Colombia. Those concerned with how the oil is harvested will be happy to know that it's sourced from a region where it's not harmful for the environment. The softening and regenerating properties of this ingredient help protect against sun, wind and salt exposure. If you've been hitting the pools it will also help combat the drying effects of chlorine. I like to rub several drops on to prevent split ends - it absorbs instantly so there's no oily film or residue.
Need something more lightweight? The new Lait Luminescence spray is a silicone-free detangling and styling product that also acts as a leave-in conditioner and UV protectant. It should unravel the most difficult hair and is fortified with Alaria Esculenta, a seaweed extract from the Breton coast. This also contains Cassia Angustifolia, a Southern Indian plant known for smoothing properties. Manketti Oil is also added to protect against the sun and heat styling tools. I found that a few pumps is enough for my long hair and it's perfect for travel.
If all else fails, the Masque Fleurs de Jasmin is a deeply conditioning mask that contains plant ceramides and silk proteins to strengthen your hair. I just love the scent - you'll feel as if you're showered with jasmine petals. It brings a smile to my face whenever I use it. The non-waxy texture is also great for super curly and frizzy hair. All in all, a fab conditioning masque for year-round use. J'adore!
