Laura Mercier Art Deco Muse Holiday 2012 Makeup

Drawing on her background as a fine art painter, Laura Mercier's Art Deco Muse holiday makeup is glamorous without being blingy. Her collection is inspired by Tamara de Lempicka's paintings, and you'll see that these products are filled with shades of gold, black and red to create striking contrasts.

Four shades are offered in the limited edition Illuminating Eye Color mono eyeshadow: Gilded Rose Gold, Gilded Platinum, Gilded Moonlight and Gilded Bronze. The formula is slightly sheer, giving it a subtle finish. You can wear these golds without attracting too much attention, which is something I love. Illuminating Eye Color in Gilded Platinum shade.

The Second Skin Cheek Color in Wild Bouquet is very subdued. The light rosy peach is ideal for sculpting and contouring the cheeks, giving it an elegant boost.

The brand is also emphasizing bright and bold lips this season, so they're offering three new shades within the popular Creme Smooth Lip Color line: Deco Rouge, Sienna and Tamara Red.
