Lash Lab's Mink Eyelash Extensions

I've had lash extensions done several years ago, and as much as I loved them, they were made with synthetic lashes and the experience wasn't that comfy. Last month I got a chance to try out mink lash extensions from Lash Lab.

These mink babies are feathery light - I can barely feel them on my own lashes. I did the Wink-Wink option, which ran for $174 ($95 + $79 mink upgrade). The service covered half of the lash line (about 50 lashes per eye), but it's more than enough for my needs. They're so natural looking that many of my girlfriends didn't even know I was wearing extensions. They noticed that my eyes looked amazing but couldn't figure it out. I didn't have to use mascara nor eyeliner for weeks, which was a huge plus for me.

For those concerned about animal cruelty, don't worry. The mink lashes are derived from brushed mink fur (fur that falls to the ground after brushing the animals), so none were harmed in the process. The owner works with a small farm that ensures their safety.

To make them last longer, you can't rub your eyes nor use any oil-based products around the eyes (makeup, cleanser, lotion, eye cream). However, I did rub my eyes on many occasions and slept on my side and they still looked fabulous. Susana, the aesthetician I worked with, is just awesome. She's so darn thorough and does an amazing job. I'm way impressed with her patience and skill. This is a godsend for short Asian lashes.

It's been over four weeks and I still have about 8-10 lashes on each eyelid - kinda a miracle if you ask me. The no-rubbing rule made my real lashes grow out longer, which helped amplify the extensions.

Mink lashes -- probably the only mink I'll ever be able to afford in this lifetime! Although, I might have to take out a second mortgage just for the upkeep on them. heehee

I'm so in to extending eyelashes and this mink one is the product that I've been using until now. And I can say that this one is really good. It doesn't itch or makes my lashes dry.

Mink Lash does look to be interesting although a bit on the pricey side. Any known allergic reactions after the extensions have been put in place?

No allergies for me. It is pricier but mink looks and feels so much better.
