Hourglass Aura Lip & Cheek Stains

Hourglass Cosmetics has launched two great products that are totally perfect for spring. The new Aura Lip and Cheek Stains might even appeal to the makeup minimalists with their simple, easy-to-use formulas. Both products are water-based so it's great for all skin types, and they give a beautiful wash of color to the face.

The Aura Cheek Stain is a pleasure to use -- it really stayed put and you get a natural, lit-from-within glow. Just dab a few spots to the cheeks, blend a tiny bit, and you're all set. This one is available in three shades: Rouge (sheer rose), Flush (sheer red) and Petal (sheer pink/coral shimmer). I tried the Flush shade and it added a gorgeous layer of rosy color to my cheeks. I felt like I stepped out of a watercolor painting with this product.

The Aura Lip Stain has a high non-transfer factor and I love the fact that it doesn't feel like you're wearing any lip color at all. The coverage is buildable, giving you a semi-matte finish. Vitamin E, Green Tea Extract and an algae-based extract are added to address elastin and collagen degradation. The flock tip applicator gives an even application, which is always helpful. This lip stain is available in three shades: Scarlet (sheer plum), Flush (sheer red) and Petal (sheer pink/coral shimmer).
