Guerlain Les Ors Holiday 2010 Makeup
Oh my...in the beauty world we're already looking at holiday colors! Guerlain's latest and greatest, Les Ors, is a tribute to the brand's iconic emblem. Their 2010 holiday collection highlights the majestic bee design that was initially made for Empress Eugénie's perfume bottle in 1853 (Eau de Cologne Impériale). As you enjoy the season's festivities, these gorgeous products will transform you into a regal beauty. Luxurious golden highlights flicker on the skin and shimmering jewel shades play across the face.
To prepare you skin for a long evening out, the Midnight Star Collect'Or Extraordinary Radiance Treatment is your weapon of choice for combating cigarette smoke and other pollutants. This potent serum is designed to de-stress and firm your visage, as well as adding a natural radiance. Plus, the lovely wand container makes one feel like a fairy princess. I did see an immediate glow and fine lines disappeared temporarily. The mini application tubes are handy for travel too. For an extra oomph, spritz on the golden bronze Or Impériale face and body powder and you'll be all aglow.
Météorites fans will covet the new Météorites Perles d'Or face powder. Six complementary shades come together to brighten up the face. Violet pearls are especially added to soften up shadowy areas. This is a keepsake item - an elegant golden bee is embossed on the rosette metal case. For a super luxe powder compact, there is the Météorites Poudre d'Or. That one contains a black Swarovski crystal design on its ultra-flat case. It will also set you back $170. Mon Dieu!
For the eyes, the Velours d'Or Ombre Eclat 4 Shades Eye Shadow contains two matte violet shades and a deep black liner to rock that intense smoky eye. An iridescent gold brings the shades together for a dazzling finish. The Le 2 Volume Mascara shade is Or 2 Nuit, which features a copper gold lacquer top coat.
The Rouge G Le Brilliant Lipstick has a special B64 Bee shade, which is a burgundy-ish purple with subtle, micro gold shimmer. I like this one a lot because it doesn't look goth when you put it on. The KissKiss Strass also has two new shades: 363 Rose de la Reine (a very sheer rose beige) and 323 Rouge Impérial (vibrant dark red). KissKiss Strass is one of my favorites lipsticks as it adds a high concentration of shine and sparkle to the lips, which is absolutely wonderful for the holidays.
The Les Ors collection is now available at Neimans, Saks, Nordstrom, Bloomingdale's, Bergdorf's and Sephora.
