Ecco Fall Boots
I still can't believe that fall is really here. Last week we had a long heat wave and everyone was in skimpy outfits. Today I'm wearing extra layers. Now I'm in need of some long boots to keep my legs warm, so I've been looking at Ecco's latest designs. The Danish brand is known for comfort and classic aesthetics.
The Hobart Buckle is your basic leather boot with three adjustable buckle closures on the side. This is great for women who don't have skinny calves. Sometimes other brands have thin shafts so it's a struggle to pull them on. With these you can stuff in your skinny jeans and it won't be too tight. The rubber sole makes it quite comfortable - you can walk miles in these without complaint.
If you don't like buckles the basic Hanna Tall Boot is a good alternative. Both designs have really low heels so you can run around in them. The Hope Tall Boot has an interesting triangular flap and buckle design that breaks up the linear pattern.

I'm not sure what you call them -- they're in between booties and pumps, but I just bought a pair by Paul Green. Like Ecco, this brand also is known for comfort. Give me that any day over aching stilettos. ;)
I agree. As much as I admire 5 inch heels on other women, I can't imagine wearing them. Too painful.
