Dolce & Gabbana Lace Collection Makeup

Dolce & Gabbana released Lace Collection, a limited edition makeup line for Fall 2012. Based on their use of Sicilian Lace in their runway shows, the overall theme is pale nude hues. If you are a huge fan of nude color, this collection is designed for you.

Monica Bellucci for Dolce & Gabbana.

The packaging is perfectly feminine and elegant - a shiny black lace pattern against a matte background adorns their nail lacquer bottles, bronzer compact, mascara and lip gloss tubes.

Three Lace Lipgloss shades are highlighted: Shimmer 55, Perfection 133, and Honey 137. My favorite is Shimmer, but all three look best when layered with a nude lip liner to bring out the color.

I just love their Lace Nail Lacquer. Again, three shades are available: Pink 100 (pale rose), Nude 210 (peach-tinged nude), and Perfection 220 (pale beige). Ideal for French manicures, these go on quite sheer so two coats are needed.

The new Intenseyes Black Intensity Mascara contains ultramarine pigments to create a deep, inky black shade. For me, D&G mascaras have one of the smoothest formulas I've tried, delivering beautifully defined, clump-free lashes. It has staying power and is also smudge-proof, which is so important in my book.

The Sicilian Lace Bronzer Glow Bronzing Powder compact (in Desert 20) is gorgeous! It's almost too pretty to use.

The entire Dolce & Gabbana Lace Collection is available exclusively at www.saksfifthavenue.com.

For editorial consideration, review samples were provided by the brand's PR representative.

Oh my, I can see why you hesitate to use that compact. That lace-printed powder is too pretty to mess up. What a work of art in a tiny compact.
