Dior Garden Party Spring 2012 Makeup

Dior's spring 2012 makeup collection, Garden Party, is filled with whimsical shades and textures. The fantasy theme is absolutely ideal for a glorious springtime celebration.

The star product of the collection is the fashionable Garden Clutch. Two silver rose buttons unclasp to reveal three eyeshadows and two lip glosses. The wearable Granville Garden 002 harmony features light pink, pale green, and deep brown shades while two sheer pink glosses complete the luxe palette.

The 5 Couleurs Garden Pastels Eyeshadow Palette is so gorgeous it reminds me of a decadent box of Parisian macarons. The rose design makes it almost too pretty to use.

For something simpler, the 3 Couleurs eyeshadow palettes are great for slipping into smaller purses. The Smoky Violet 961 palette is a favorite of mine for a delicate purple lid. Plus, who doesn't love the useful pop-up mirror? This product is also a Dior.com exclusive.

To offset the bright pastel eyes the lips are getting toned down. Both the Rouge Dior Corolle Pink 363 lipstick and the Dior Addict Ultra Gloss in Pretty Rose 452 give a light, sheer baby pink lip.

The nails get a fun wash of candy coated shades. The Dior Vernis nail polish in Forget Me Not (light grape) and Waterlily (minty green) are actually scented with a subtle rose perfume. The slightly matte veneer and long-lasting formula make it extra fun to wear for spring.

It's dark and gloomy out today, so seeing this pretty palate is definitely a breath of spring....well, even if spring is still quite a ways off. Wow, scent in the nail polish? That's too cool for words. ;)
