Dior Blue Tie Fall 2011 Makeup

The Blue Tie fall 2011 makeup collection from Dior is pretty killer. Obviously the dominant color palette is a myriad of blue for eyes and nails, but you also get tons of light lip colors for an elegant contrast.

The Blue Tie eyeshadow palette ($70) is just gorgeous, non? It's certainly a sexy twist on the ubiquitous smoky eye look.

There are two super lovely blush options for fall. The DiorBlush Glowing Color Power Blush ($42.00) is available in Vintage Pink 839 and Pink in Love 889. I adore both, and it depends on what you want. The Vintage Pink is very natural - you can't mess up with it even if you apply too much.

The Pink in Love, however, is much more pigmented so you need to use a lighter hand. The complimentary matte and pearly finishes give a sculpted finish and lasts for a pretty long time. I can see myself getting addicted to this blush. It's sooo silky and blendable.

For those who love neutral lips, the four Rouge Dior ($32.00) lipstick shades will make you happy. Angelique Beige 314 is very light, almost too light on me. This is probably great for naturally pale lips. Pisanelle Pink 428 has a very shiny wet finish, while Tourbillon Pink 651 is a sheer, light coral. It's very wearable, even for those who might not like coral.

My favorite, however, is Allegro Pink 741. The brownish pink is just perfect for everyday wear, and it's appropriate enough for work but not boring at all. This shade  should work on many skin tones.

For a nourishing, glossy lip, the Rouge Serum Luminous Color Lip Treatment ($34) is a new collection with six shades: Sweet Pink Crystal 645, Primrose Crystal 215, Tea Rose Crystal 455, Carmine Crystal 855, Coral Crystal 345 and Passionate Pink Crystal 675. I like the darker shades (Passionate Pink Crystal and Sweet Pink Crystal) as they show up better on me.

The coveted Tuxedo 908 is an excellent replacement for black polish, and the Blue Denim 607 is a modern, fun way to celebrate the season's "It" shade. If you like it tame, the Safari Beige 219 should appeal to the neutralists.
