Delicious Karma
Thanks to Delicious Karma, a social website that offers daily flash sales on gourmet food products, I got to try the addictive Hey Boo Srikaya. A decadent coconut jam that originated in southeast Asia, their small batch kaya is slow-cooked with cage-free eggs in San Francisco. You can use it for many things (waffles, ice cream, fruit, etc.), but it's so good that I tend to eat it straight from the jar. The traditional and mango flavors are both lovely, but I prefer the traditional recipe.
I also got to taste artisan chocolates, sea salt caramels and mendiants from La Châtelaine Chocolat Co. I especially enjoyed the Organic Coconut, Provence Lavender, Chai and Meyer Lemon truffles. The box of Assorted Chocolate Sea Salt Caramels feature Carmargue fleur de sel, red and black Hawaiian sea salt, and Murray River sea salt.
