Clé de Peau Joyaux Intemporels Makeup & New Facial Serum
October 12, 2010 Clé de Peau's Fall-Winter 2010 makeup collection, Joyaux Intemporels, is an homage to the radiant jewels of the Belle Époque period. These new seasonal colors also reflect the fleeting beauty of nature, such as the myriad hues within a butterfly's delicate wings.
The Eye Color Quads aim to capture the sumptuous lustre and brilliance of colorful jewels. These shimmering velvety shades contain Argan Tree Oil to facilitate application ease, as well as the Hydro-Wrap Complex to moisturize the delicate eyelids.
The brand also introduced its very first Cream Compact Foundation (SPF 18). On top of a flawless soft-matte finish, it boasts an extremely creamy and moist texture. Low-Viscosity Oil, Tabular powder, and Volatile Oil provide the smooth and silky feel while Chai Hu Extract (Bupleurum Falcatum Root Extract) and Super Hyaluronic Acid supply high levels of moisture to the skin. Other skin care ingredients include Green Tea Extract (prevents fibroblast damage) and the anti-oxidant Rosa Roxburghii Extract. You don't need a lot to get the right coverage. 
The luxurious Extra Rich Lipstick delivers full coverage yet retains a delightfully lightweight feel. Their formula contains Vitamin A Acetate to soften lip texture while the key ingredient, Transparent Red Powder, is a pigment that emits a vibrant, translucent red color for a soft-focus effect. Three new reflective shades are available for Fall: (R5) Alexandre Giraud, (R6) Alain Blanchard, and (T5) Chicago Peach. I adore the R6 shade, which is a soft metallic raspberry pink.
Clé de Peau also released the new Intensive Facial Contour Serum, a high-performance lifting and contouring serum. Firmer, more resilient skin is yours after using this for six weeks. Fine lines, pores and wrinkles will become less visible, and skin texture will become smoother as your face gets uplifting help from their exclusive Skin Gravity Supporting Complex (Great Burnet and Cornflower extracts) and Excel Firming Formula.
The powerful formula also features Chestnut Rose Extract, W-TC Complex, and Cellular IC Normalizer. The texture is ultra light and sinks quickly into the skin. This isn't a replacement for Botox or a real face lift, but using it daily will bring a more firm, youthful complexion. The scent is also very light so it's great for those who don't prefer heavily scented skin care products.
I also got to try the highly coveted, award-winning Concealer. Featuring a Revitalizing Moisture Complex to lock in moisture, this blends so beautifully into the skin. Like the cream foundation, you only need a small amount of product. If anything, I found myself putting too much on. It will crease if you slap it on, so go very lightly. Alas, the Ivory shade is too pale on me, so I think I'll check out the Beige next time.
