Clarins Mineral Makeup Palettes
Clarins is always surprising me with their great makeup. They're known primarily for their skincare but they also make excellent lipsticks and eyeshadows. The colors usually last a long time and the shades are very wearable for most skin tones. A new example of this is their Eye Quartet Mineral Palette.
Six color quads are featured in this line: Pastels, Nudes, Rosewood, Indigo, Violet, and Graphites. Each one comes with one highlighter shade, a contour shade and two base shades. I tried the Rosewood and love it. It's a pink and brown neutral palette but the shades aren't boring at all. The Graphites palette is awesome for the classic smoky eye. The long-lasting mineral pigments are concentrated and the texture is just so blendable.
Clarins also repackaged their iconic line of balancing face oils - the new 30ml bottle comes with a pipette for easier application. Packed with 100% pure blue orchid extract, patchouli and hazelnut oil, the Blue Orchid Facial Treatment Oil is really wonderful for replenishing much-needed moisture to my parched wintry skin. It felt a bit thick at first but it soon absorbed into my skin, making it velvety soft. I haven't had soft skin like this for months. You can also dilute it with your night cream or toner to create a serum texture. I'm also in love with the patchouli scent.
