Armani Gold Rush Holiday 2010 Makeup
December 2, 2010 Giorgio Armani's Gold Rush holiday 2010 makeup is elegant and bold without going over the top. The limited edition collection only has a few items, but the sexy colors will make a lasting impression for your holiday look.
I always adore anything from the Eyes To Kill line. This season the eyes get a super charged palette of black, silver and coppery bronze. The three new silk eyeshadows are blended with bits of black grey metal to show off a fiery smoky eye.
I especially loved Shade 15, a coppery gold mixed with black grey. Paired with a liquid eyeliner and lots of mascara, this will make the boys swoon. Shade 16, a silver grey shimmer, is gorgeous for an understated look, but it really comes alive when you mix it with Shade 13 (black). You can apply it dry or wet to achieve both subtle and dramatic eyelids. These long-wearing eyeshadows are also waterproof and crease-proof, yet clean off really easily.
Armani also introduced a beautiful shimmer face powder. The Gold Rush Palette is a soft, universally flattering beige that lights up the face and décolleté with an irresistible golden glow. The sheer finish is actually very subtle and you won't be seeing bits of gold glitter at all. The sleek gold and black lacquered signature compact also adds a glamorous allure to your makeup bag.
Inspired by the Giorgio Armani Fall/Winter collection, the three new Rouge d’Armani lipsticks are really intense with extremely bold hues. The subtle metallic finish also gives a sexier dimension to the lip and they all compliment the smoky eye really well.
I personally loved the Bright, Coral Red (404). It's such a classy red shade, yet I can actually pull off the coral tinge. The beautiful Fuschia (517) is also really fun and vibrant. It's like adding a bright raspberry kiss to your lips. The collection also features Tibetan Orange (405), which is sure to be a popular hit with the makeup lovers.
