A Visit to Miraval Resort

Last week I had the amazing opportunity to experience Miraval, a global destination spa resort in Tucson, Arizona. To celebrate their new partnership Clarins invited a group of lifestyle and beauty bloggers to check out the new Life in Balance Spa with Clarins. Their service menu was also revamped to feature plant-based skincare from the venerable French beauty company.

Featuring 23 treatment rooms, the 16,000-square-foot facility is decked out with giant crystals to promote harmonic energy flow. For those who value their privacy, each room is padded with noise-reduction insulation. Even the hallway carpet design was created from an image blowup of a cactus plant. Every little detail has been well thought out - they even have a private entrance for celebrities (Hello, Oprah and Barbra Streisand!) and other VIP folks.

During the first evening I tried the Outdoor Deep Moisture Rich Massage, an exclusive Clarins treatment. Nestled inside a gorgeous outdoor treatment area, I listened to birds and frogs sing their evening songs as my therapist Lucy worked out my kinks. Using an arnica balm, she smoothed out the tension from a full day of travel, sending me to into a blissful state. An exfoliating layer of Clarins Moisture-Rich Body Lotion was massaged all over my body, sealing in much-needed hydration for my dry skin.

The next day I was introduced to the emerginC Organic Facial. Coming from foggy San Francisco, I wasn't used to the 100-degree heat so this treatment really soothed my irritated skin. Utilizing the power of marine extracts, grape stem cells, kombucha, green and white teas, the emerginC Scientific Organics line contains at least 70% organic ingredients.

For those in the know, Miraval isn't just about pampering facials and massages. This luxurious oasis prides itself on offering a comprehensive range of wellness activities. Whether it's yoga, meditation, arts or sports, they have it covered. They are famous for their Outdoor Adventure and Challenge program, which includes a popular favorite, A Swing and a Prayer. I was quite scared to do it, but I figured if Oprah and Gayle did it, so can I.

We were also lucky enough to experience It's Not About the Horse with acclaimed equine facilitator Wyatt Webb. I won't divulge the details of our intimate session but if you visit Miraval, this is a life-changing group activity. Keep an open mind and you'll learn more about yourself and gain tools to create a more joyous life.

My favorite part of each evening is to gush over the small desert bunnies. They love to lounge around the resort during the early morning and evening hours. How adorable are they?? During my entire stay my heart belonged to these lovely creatures.

A big thanks to Miraval and Clarins for inviting me. You can tell everyone loves to work there and is genuinely happy to be there to help you achieve your goals, whatever they might be. It's truly an experience of a lifetime!

For editorial consideration, a media trip was arranged by Clarins and Miraval resort.

What a pampering trip. Love all the tranquil details that went into creating this place. If you can't relax there, you can't relax anywhere, right? ;)
