I look forward to reading Strangers from a Different Shore by Ronald Takaki. The stories of all immigrants comprise common experiences, as well as specific ones.

I'd like to read "Strangers from a Different Shore" - it is described as the history of Asian Americans & I'd like to learn about that.

I am interesting in reading "Free Food for Millionaires as I enjoy reading debut novels and also I am interested in this book because of the Korean immigrant experience which I do not know much about.

Transparency really appeals to me right now, because I can read short stories in between doing other things (instead of getting sucked into a novel and forgetting about other things).

We lived in Korea for 2 years which gives some insight into Free food for Millionaires scenario. That's the book that jumps out begging to be read.

All of them look amazing, but I'm most interested in The Fortune Cookie Chronicles, because I would love to know more about the sociological elements of the Chinese food industry. Thanks!
